THE BIGGEST IN THE WORLD

 

“And here it is,” our American tour guide drawled. “It’s the biggest in the world.”

“ I don’t think so,” the Chinese tourist interrupted. “ I think you will find that we have one bigger than that in Shanghai.”

“Ah,” the American said, confidently. “This is the biggest in the northern hemisphere.”

“Just a minute,” the German said. “I’ve seen one much bigger in Berlin.”

The tour guide was not put off.

“This one is the biggest in the U S of A. We are very proud of it”

“We’ve got a bigger one upstate,” the New Yorker said. “And it’s older.”
