THE VAMPIRES

a Trent tale

 

Two deceased peasants were walking through the streets of Drakelow with their coffins on their backs. They were hammering on doors and shouting out names. Those who were called, died immediately.

 

To solve the mystery, the villagers opened the graves of the revenants. The bodies were covered in blood soaked cloths. The villagers cut off their heads. They cut out their hearts and burnt them. The evil spirit, in the form of a crow, rose out of the ashes.

 

The walking of the streets by the recently departed stopped. Those villagers, who had become ill, recovered. 

 

Life returned to normality.
