Magic Lantern

 

Widow Twanky placed her beautifully carved candlelit pumpkin on the gatepost for passers by to admire.

 

Next morning she found it was stuffed with leaves. She suspected the god walkers.

Upset but not undaunted she repaired and replaced it.

 

The scoundrel stuffed the pumpkin again. The widow considered offering a reward of her delicious ghouly cakes to anyone supplying information.

The next night she pinned a card on the pumpkin alerting the stuffer that she was closing in on their identity. The god walker was delighted. He decided to confess as her cakes were legendary.

 

The pumpkin became her pimpkin.
