John was excited when he was invited to the Village Party. Year 4 had been doing a project on the Second World War and had come to the party to serve the people and to talk to them about life all those years ago.

 

John had lived in a small town but the local armaments factory had suffered a bombing raid with three fatalities and numerous people severely injured. They were not happy times.

Wayne and Jo showed John their project book and they all shared war stories. As they were leaving Jo said to John: “Did you know Hitler?”
