When I first saw it I couldn’t believe it.

My friend said it was poppycock.

Codswallop my wife said.

 

I saw it again. In the same place. Staring at me.

Waffle my neighbour said.

 

I had a stake out. I heard a rustle. It was definitely there.

My friend didn’t believe me. My wife said I lived in the land of make believe.

 

My neighbour joined me in a stake out. We heard a rustle. It came out and stood right before our eyes. Silently staring at us.

 

My  neighbour ran off.

I was left there, rooted to the ground.
