Doug had been retired a while and was beginning to find the days long and boring.

“They need an assistant at the garage. Get yourself down there,” his wife urged.

With renewed energy Doug soon converted the back room as a delighted Joan labelled the shelves. The customers  liked his easy charm and the efficiency of his organisation. She was thinking of more ways of using his skills but would he want to work full time?

“We need someone like you to help us set up our new Click and Collect centre,” Joan, the owner,  said. “Can you come tomorrow?”
