MABEL AND DANIEL GO TO SEE FRIENDS

 

“We’ve had an invitation to see Sue and Tom,” Mabel said. “What do you think?”

“Have you forgotten how nasty she was the last time we met?” Daniel reminded her.

“That was before lockdown. Times have changed. She didn’t really mean it.”

 

Tom opened the double gates with a remote control. “Sue is looking forward to this. We have been friends for so long.”

It was only when the cream fell off her scone onto her dress that Mabel remarked that she was still a ‘messy eater’ and laughed. Sue joined in but Daniel just turned and looked at Tom.
